TERRONIAN FESTIVAL

The first edition of the Terronian Festival, held in Naples at the Palapartenope theatre on 19 and 20 September 2012, aimed to present an event that could travel in future years. It sought to highlight the best of southern Italy in every field and sector, the “Eccellenze del Sud”.
The first day of the festival was rich in events, opening with a debate underscoring the diverse socio-economic and cultural aspects of the southern regions, including art, cinema, music, literature and business development.
The second day hosted the Trofeo della Pizza Via Tribunali competition, conceived by the master pizza-maker Salvatore Di Matteo. The initiative highlights the importance of a tradition born in the narrow alleyways of Via Tribunali in the historic centre of Naples, known to all as “la strada della pizza” (pizza street).
